Your so sillly Java
I’ve been trying lately to create some new sidebar applications for Lotus Notes 8. I’ve had a little bit of difficulty understanding all the properties and paths you have to update in order to get things to work, but it’s slowly coming together.
The latest has been using the Microsoft jdbc connector. For the life of me I couldn’t figure out how to add it into my project and get the project to actually connect to it. Well after struggling for a while I finally figured it out.
- Import your sqljdbc.jar file into your project
- Add it to your referenced libraries in your project properties.
- The one that got me. In your runtime Classpath settings (plugin.xml), set a reference to the imported jar file.
Hope this helps anybody who’s trying to get Eclipse connecting to SQL Server properly.
Another makeover
I put through another makeover to the old website today. Hopefully this gets me posting a little more often. The newly added twitter updates are on the right side at the top, as I seem to have been using that more lately then updating this website. I’ll also try to update my photos on flickr when I get the chance as I haven’t updated since the summer.
I feel so sorry for him
Hilarious. What’s a brother to do when he can’t fly his own personal jet anymore because it’s too expensive! Well he must fly commerical now. Well at least he still has first class!
So long Kokannee Ranger
It was a close vote, but in the end, the ranger died
So after a four month long poll, yet another Canadian beer legend is leaving us. While personally he wasn’t my favourite, it still made for funny commercials.
Although there’s nothing more Canadian like and more satisfying when you find the sasquatch on the Kokanne beer can.
But the all time favourtite beer personality is the Alexandar Keith’s Scotsman. From the infamous label peeler to spilly talker to the “you broke it’s neck”. Too bad he got charged with child pornography posession. Wonder where his career went after that?
