Trip to Taiwan: Step 2
Now that step 1 is complete and over with, the next logical step is to purchase the plane tickets to get the hell over there.
And so I did just that.
Today I purchased my flights to Taiwan. At first I thought I’d wait till September sometime and tackle it then, but I was browsing around different flights and so I just bit the bullet and purchased it. I was searching around some discount airline companies. I looked at a few, and most of them came back with a nice United Airlines flight to San Francisco, then a short 2 hour layover, then the long haul to Taiwan, landing about 8 pm. The price…about what I expected. I’m not going to say exactly how much it cost as that’s not really point. Certain things are priceless in this world.
So I’ll be leaving the country early on December 29th, and coming back on January 15th. This is going to a solid two week holiday that I will never forget!
Next step: not really sure, I’ll have to think about that.

I received my iteneray after I booked my flight and noticed that I was stopping in Japan for a few hours before heading down to Taipei. Confused, I called up the travel place where I booked my tickets. The girl on the phone indicated that it was a flaw in the system and that if you don’t depart the plane, it may not show up in the original schedule. [...]
