Tristyn Lockyer

Congratulations go out to Shaun & Dee Lockyer who are finally proud parents of a new baby girl.

Tristyn Lockyer was born on Saturday, May 20, which just happens to be the same birthday as Dee’s. What’s the chances of that happening too often? The plan was for everybody to head over to their house for cake Saturday evening to celebrate Dee’s birthday. But that plan was nixed when the word traveled that they had gotten to the hospital at 7 am.

It seems like I’ve been though the whole pregancy. My only McDonalds food I’ve taken in the last couple of years have been with the pregnant lady who just happened to want McDonalds cheeseburgers all the time. I will always use the excuse that I couldn’t let her walk to the 8th St Crack Station by herself.

So congrats Shaun & Dee. Thanks for the fun first 9 months here in Calgary. Thanks for making me love the city and never wanting to go back. Thanks for welcoming me in your family and thanks for the introduction to an unbelievable person. I owe you a ton, so anytime you need a babysitter, I’m just a phone call away.

  1. Okay - You always take me from a laugh or a giggle to a tear! You are the best little, smarter brother a girl could ask to adopt! I’d have to say Shaun would agree. He’ll be seeing you Saturday apparently (so I’ve been told) while I’ll be at my last baby shower (Thank heavens! - At least T has arrived so I won’t be the one in the spot light.)

I can’t wait for our summer holiday!!! 21 work days for you or 30 ’sleeps’ for Shaun and I. I use the word ’sleeps’ loosely. There are plenty of sleepless hours in the night, I rely on my afternoon naps these days.

Enjoy work and the smelly train rides! I don’t miss it one bit (so far I’ve been too tired and busy to use any mental stimulation besides feeding my daughter).

Take care and we’ll be seeing you Saturday maybe.
