And in Calgary news…

The week’s been brutally hot here in Calgary. Today was finally a bit cooler, but it’s been 28-30° for the last couple of days. The apartment is holding up pretty well to the heat. It’s a little warm at night, but not bad. My apartment faces north, so at least it doesn’t warm up with the sun all day long. Although I may have to invest in a fan pretty soon.

The only thing really bad about this heat is the train rides home after work. Picture a couple of hundred people squished tight, with just these little tiny windows open for ventalation. I suffered the first day, but then became a little smarter, and for the last 2 days, I’ve been bringing shorts and sandles to wear after work for the train ride home….you shouldn’t have to do that.
