When it was first announced that Albertans would receive $400 each, I thought, “shit I better get me some of that”. Having only moved to moutain country in August rumours started spreading about what “criteria” were involved. After some selfish praying, I hit the jackpot and after a quick call to CCRA, I was getting my piece of Revenue pie!

And low and behold! Finally today the cheque WAS in the mail!

So what am I going to do with it? That’s still undecided, but here is my short list (in no particular order:

Most likely:

• Upgrade the computer - AMD 64, new motherboard, etc.
• Down payment on an xbox 360 (It’s still $499 though!)
• Pay for some flights home during the spring/summer
• iPod Nano - my mini only runs for about 30 min now.

Not likely:

• Add to RRSP’s
• Make a car payment
• PS3
• Save it
• Cashing it in at some business (deals in Calgary - cash in your cheque for a $500 in-store credit)
• Tattoo (I’ve always wanted one)

I’ll keep you posted on what the eventual outcome of the spending is.
