We had to cancel our weekly Tuesday golf game because of all the rain we’ve been having lately. On the weekend and at the start of last week, it rained a whole shit load. We rescheduled for Thursday and when we got to the course, there was water everywhere. Now I’m not the one to complain too much about conditions of the golf course, but it was ridiculous. The course had standing water everywhere, they even had pumps going to try to remove it all.I always go by the philosophy that “Don’t Blame the Arrow. Blame the Indian“. Which basically means that you shouldn’t blame the club in your hands, the computer your typing on, the glove in your hand, etc, but you should rather blame yourself. If you hit a shit shot, don’t blame the ball, or the club, blame you.
Anyhoo, I ended shooting a shitty 96.
On Friday we took off early from work and went to another Brandon course - Glen Lea. Located just outside the city, this course had just a little bit of standing water, but the greens were immaculate. Shot a 88 there. On the back nine shot a 40. When a course is in good conditions, I think it brings out the best in me.
2 months and counting till the big move….
