…and so it begins
Flew to Calgary on Friday to find a place to live. Took off at 7 am on Westjet. This is the first time I’ve flown Westjet, and I like. First off the plane we were on had leather seats, plus on the back of each seat there was a little TV. It showed you where you were over the country, how high you were and how fast you were going. Plus they gave you an additional 20 channels to watch. It was another story on the way back. We got an old plane with no leg room. Plus it was a full plane and I had a middle seat. Then on the drive home from Winnipeg, we basically hit a snowstorm. Driving is really fun when you can’t see anything!
Looked at a few places and made an offer on one I liked. Couple of hours later it was accepted! So I know have a place to live in Calgary. I’m living in Somerset which is basically right now as far south as you can go. It’s a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom 900 Sq ft condo on the third floor of a condo building. What’s even better is the building is about 1 block from the Southern most C-Train station. So most likely I’ll be taking the C-Train into work every morning. From stories I’ve heard from people who live in Calgary, it’s best if you live there as you can usually get a seat on the train in morning.
Possession date is July 29th. I’ll probably head out there sometime in August I think. We’ll see though as we may not have an office to work in Until September sometime.
